Activities in and around Reno

Hiking Nevada and California

There are classy health clubs in Reno, but what's really unique about this place is that we live within minutes of a world class, truly world famous hiking trail. Seriously, if you love to hike, you're in luck with living in Reno because the Pacific Crest Trail (among a whole bunch more) is just 'up the hill' as they say. Count your lucky stars some warm summer night up high and be glad to live on the eastern flank of the mighty Sierra Nevada.

Salon 7

From the Homepage:

A Unisex full service salon -- Alternative Spa, and Art Gallery. We offer a serene 600 square foot sanctuary including fabulous facials and massage. Spoil yourself or someone else with Sp"aaa"h Pedicures atop our beautiful Pedicure Pedistal. Enter Salon 7's doors and relax to the gentle sounds of cocktail culture and enjoy a beverage while pampering yourself. Come in and make yourself comfortable.

The Hidden Woman

From the homepage:

We specialize in transgender clothing and accessories, wigs, body shaping lingerie, breast forms, and high heel shoes and boots in large sizes. We feature a full range of products and accessories. We also carry a full line of mens' lingerie.

Holly's Place

Rest your bones on the shore of Lake Tahoe, only a short beautiful drive from Reno, usually takes about an hour with stops to take pictures and gaze at the sights. We've heard good things about Holly's Place. You can even take your (well behaved) dogs with you! And if you're there in July, be sure to check out the Shakespeare Festival at Sand Harbor Nevada State Park. It's always fun to queer the Renaissance.
